NBA Awards Watch: Karl-Anthony Towns Blows The Competition Away
By Ben Nadeau
Karl-Anthony Towns has Minnesota Timberwolves faithful dreaming of the playoffs while setting records at an absurd efficiency — is he for real?
This week’s NBA Awards Watch brought some much-needed consistency to our biggest races. Out west, Karl-Anthony Towns, somehow, has set another benchmark, Draymond Green won a coin toss against Kawhi Leonard, and Eric Bledsoe continues to push for his first-ever All-Star selection. Now that the Golden State Warriors have finally lost and Kyrie Irving has returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the stage is finally set for Friday’s Christmas showdown. Along with the aforementioned Green, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Luke Walton will look to keep one of the hottest streaks in league history running straight into the New Year.
Elsewhere, a stylish, new member joins our Sixth Man of the Year race and Hassan Whiteside makes his case for a bronze medal in the Defensive Player of the Year competition. Join the discussion in the comments below and be sure to let me know if I forgot somebody or if my love for Eric Bledsoe has reached its scariest level yet.
