Top Four Centers

  1. DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings ($9,900) vs. Indiana Pacers
  2. Greg Monroe, Milwaukee Bucks ($7,600) vs. Philadelphia 76ers (tired team)
  3. Andre Drummond, Detroit Pistons ($9,600) vs. Atlanta Hawks
  4. Karl-Anthony Towns ($7,600) vs. San Antonio Spurs

Rationale:

  • In addition to having the clustered schedule, the Sixers are fifth-worst overall vs. centers on FanDuel NBA. Monroe has taken well to his new digs, averaging 18.6 PPG at the Bradley Center vs. 13.2 PPG on the road.
  • Drummond had an 18-point, 19-rebound game vs. Atlanta in the season opener, and Paul Millsap is dealing with an ankle injury, so that could mean less help for Al Horford in the paint this time. In addition, the Hawks are fifth-worst in their past five games vs. pivots.
  • The Spurs are second-stingiest against centers overall but in the lower third over their past five games; as a result, their recent lapse could continue against Towns, who is tops at his primary position on ESPN’s player rater. That said, Wednesday night could just as easily be a reality check for the rookie against the veteran-laden roster, so the caution flag is out.
