Top Four Power Forwards

  1. Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans ($10,400) vs. Portland Trail Blazers
  2. Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors ($9,200) vs. Utah Jazz
  3. Derrick Favors, Utah Jazz ($7,700) vs. Golden State Warriors
  4. Cody Zeller, ($4,200)/Marvin Williams ($5,000), Charlotte Hornets vs. Boston Celtics [tie]

Rationale:

  • Choosing between Green and Favors is a surprisingly tough call: while Green has been on fire lately (42-plus fantasy points in his past four games), Favors is an excellent defender (106.1 D-rating). Meanwhile, the Warriors have been the most generous team to opposing PFs over their past five games, but Favors’ low floor makes him a dicey proposition.
  • The Celtics are fourth-worst overall vs. centers (where Zeller lines up in Al Jefferson’s stead) and sixth-worst vs. power forwards over their past 10 games. Zeller has eclipsed 21 fantasy points in three of his past four contests and Williams has done it in three straight, so together they could form a low cost mini-stack from a Hornets team that plays far better at home (11-4) than on the road (4-8).
