Top Four PGs

  1. Brandon Knight (Suns) – $7,300 vs. Nuggets
  2. Stephen Curry (Warriors) – $10,700 vs. Jazz
  3. Reggie Jackson (Pistons) – $7,600 @ Hawks
  4. Michael Carter-Williams (Bucks) – $6,400 vs. 76ers

Rationale:

  • Knight has had a strong season for the Suns, and in two games against the Nuggets he has excelled. He’s averaged 40.5 FPPG against the Nuggets, including shooting 7-of-13 (53.8 percent). The Nuggets have the second-worst defense against point guards this season.
  • Curry’s great season should continue against a lowly Jazz team. He scored 46.0 FPPG against them in their first contest this season. With a full compliment of players around him, Curry has the potential to explode in scoring and assists totals. His steep price is warranted, but the Jazz are 11th against point guards.
  • Jackson was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season by the NBA. He played well in a win against the Hawks earlier this year, scoring 36.5 FPPG. Jackson scored, rebounded and assisted well in that game, and he will need to do the same if they want to win. Atlanta is 16th against point guards this season.
  • Carter-Williams has not yet squared off against his former team this season. However, he plays well at home averaging 33.3 FPPG at the Bradley Center, which is around 10 points higher than on the road. MCW is averaging 38.7 FPPG in his last five games, including games against guard-heavy teams.
