2. LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers

The only things keeping this duo from topping the list are Irving’s injury history and the incredible play of the Golden State Warriors. LeBron continues to lead his teams to title contention and be the best player in the game.

Irving is an incredible player in his own right, but struggles to stay on the court. His injury problems go back to his only year at Duke, where he missed most of the season with a foot injury. If he is able to remain healthy, the Cleveland Cavaliers have a three-headed monster with James and Kevin Love that could beat any team put in front of them.

James is a proven winner and has become a mainstay in the NBA Finals year after year. He has shown few signs of slowing down and will do anything his team needs him to in order to win. In last year’s Finals, he pushed the Warriors to six games with two All-NBA players missing due to injury.

The Cavs sit atop the heavily competitive Eastern Conference, mostly due to the stellar play of James. Irving has finally returned from the injury that kept him out since last summer’s Finals, so they will be back to dominating opponents in no time.
