Chicago Bulls: Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi is not the most important character in the Star Wars universe, but he’s easily one of the most iconic and influential. The Chicago Bulls can’t match the Lakers or Celtics in championships, but the Michael Jordan era was one of the NBA’s most important dynasties, and what is Obi-Wan Kenobi if not the MJ of the Jedi Knight Order?

Okay, maybe Yoda would qualify since he’s the GOAT, but still, the Bulls earn the Obi-Wan comparison because since MJ, they’ve almost always been likable or admirable. When Jordan was in town, they were immensely likable. When Derrick Rose was in his prime and healthy, same thing: they were the good guys trying to fight LeBron James and the Miami Heat’s “evil” reign.

Even with D-Rose doing his best now to try and ruin that, the Bulls have enjoyable stars like Jimmy Butler to work with. They died the same sort of death as Obi-Wan when Jordan left, but it didn’t take long for them to come back as popular as ever:
