NBA Awards Watch: Could Draymond Green really take the Defensive Player of the Year crown from Kawhi Leonard?

It took 25 games before somebody could knock off the Golden State Warriors — and that loss only came in the second game of a back-to-back after double overtime the night before at the end of a massive roadtrip.

So, yeah, if those are the prerequisites for the Warriors losing games this year, good luck, NBA. In other Warriors-related news, Draymond Green makes a serious run at Defensive Player of the Year, Luke Walton slips, and they dodge a massive bullet with Klay Thompson‘s ankle.

If this is your first time reading this weekly column, you might be shocked to find that the Warriors are contenders in nearly every major award category. At this point, if Kevon Looney suddenly started playing for the Warriors, we’d tell Karl-Anthony Towns to start sweating.

Either way, for those hoping that the Milwaukee Bucks’ streak-ender would reveal a small weakness in this historically great team, I have some very bad news.

Without further ado, let’s get to Hoops Habit’s
