Top 4 Point Guards

  1. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors ($11,000) vs. Milwaukee Bucks (tired team)
  2. Deron Williams, Dallas Mavericks ($7,100) vs. Washington Wizards (tired team)
  3. Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls ($6,600) vs. New Orleans Hornets
  4. Raymond Felton, Dallas Mavericks ($4,500) vs. Washington Wizards (tired team)

Rationale:

  • Although both the Warriors and Bucks are meeting in the latter game of a back-to-back (common theme for Saturday night), the Bucks will also be playing their third game in four nights. Curry has reverse splits this season, averaging 34.1 PPG on the road but “only” 29.8 PPG at Oracle Arena.
  • Williams draws a Wizards team that is playing their third game in four nights and second in a row. The 33.9 fantasy point game at Washington this past Sunday wouldn’t be enough to substantiate his inflated cost, but D-Will averages 17.6 PPG at home vs. 13.8 on the road, so he has a chance to build upon that floor given the aforementioned factors.
  • D-Rose isn’t the most reliable fantasy option, but the Pelicans are second most generous on FanDuel to point guards so he makes the cut. Last season he averaged 19.5 PPG vs. the Pelicans, which was better than his 17.7 PPG overall.
  • The Wizards are (still) the worst team in the league at defending small forwards (where Felton lines up for all intents and purposes).
