There were few players who could make a case that they were snubbed from the 2014-15 All-NBA teams. After willing an otherwise painfully inconsistent Washington Wizards team to the playoffs, John Wall was one of them.

After struggling during the first full month of 2015-16, Wall is beginning to remind his critics of that reality.

Wall went off a week ago, and he didn’t do much in the way of slowing down in the week that followed. He had 17 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals against Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, tallied 28 points, 10 assists and five steals against the resurgent Deron Williams, and posted 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting against Goran Dragic.

Wall closed out the week by torching Patrick Beverley and Ty Lawson for 26 points, 12 assists, nine rebounds, three steals and a block.

That string of dominance is a far cry from what Wall did in November, when he averaged 14.5 points and 7.8 assists on 36.9 percent shooting from the field. In six December games, Wall is putting up 28.0 points and 9.4 assists on 56.0 percent shooting.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you don’t judge a player by the first month of a season.
