Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors have one of the best backcourts in the Eastern Conference. Kyle Lowry is playing at a top-15 level in 2015-16, and DeMar DeRozan is a tough assignment as a lengthy slasher with explosive finishing ability.

Unfortunately for Toronto, it lacks any form of consistent interior offense.

Jonas Valanciunas is a solid option down low, but he’s both injured and relatively limited offensively. Patrick Patterson and Luis Scola have range and versatility, but neither provide a consistent enough level of production to turn the dial.

Gambling on Terrence Jones would be a significant step in the right direction.

Jones displays similar versatility to Patterson and Scola, which suggests that Dwane Casey would know how to use him. The key differences can be found in Jones’ defense—a significant strength—and upside.

Jones is a strong defender, a versatile playmaker and a developable talent at 23 years old. He’s what Toronto needs.
