Indiana Pacers
On the strength of Paul George‘s remarkable start to the 2015-16 NBA regular season, Indiana Pacers are back in the postseason picture. Operating alongside George is a deep perimeter, including Monta Ellis, George Hill, C.J. Miles and Rodney Stuckey.
The issue at hand: Indiana lacks any form of consistent interior play.
Jordan Hill and Ian Mahinmi currently anchor the interior, combining for averages of 17.1 points, 15.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 blocks per game. That lackluster collaborative production has forced George to spend a high number of minutes at power forward.
Adding Terrence Jones to the mix could be the cure-all.
Despite serving as something of an afterthought in Houston, Jones has remained consistent. A quality shot-blocker, solid rebounder, capable facilitator and dynamic offensive threat, Jones is exactly what the Pacers’ interior is missing.
Between his offensive versatility and the significant defensive edge that he holds over Jordan Hill, Jones would be a significant upgrade for Frank Vogel and the Pacers.
