No. 16: Portland Trail Blazers

Portland is in a good spot going forward, but not a great one. They should have Damian Lillard in five years, which is obviously a big plus. Dame is already one of the best point guards in the association, and should be even better in the future.

The downside to having a great point guard like Dame is that while he’s probably not good enough to be the best player on a championship team, he’s too good to allow the Blazers to really fall to the bottom of the NBA and get themselves another superstar via the draft.

The Trail Blazers have a lot of fun young pieces around Lillard, but none of them are surefire prospects. This unit has the potential to be really good in 2020, but the Blazers are more likely to be just okay, unless one of their prospects takes a massive leap forward or they strike gold in free agency.
