No. 11: Cleveland Cavaliers

There are a ton of interesting scenarios that could play out in Cleveland over the next half-decade. Does LeBron James decide to tough it out with the Cavs, even if he never brings a title back home? Or will he jump ship once more, leaving Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love behind?

LeBron will probably stay in Cleveland, but it’s not impossible for him to walk away again. That would really hurt the Cavaliers’ future–LeBron’s presence, even if he is 35 years old, is huge for a basketball team.

Old man LeBron is going to be fun to watch play, and if he stays in Cleveland you can be sure it’ll be easy for the Cavs to recruit some of his very talented friends to help them remain a contender.

Even if LeBron leaves, though, the Cavaliers won’t be completely doomed. They just overpaid hard for Tristan Thompson, but if they can keep Kyrie Irving or Kevin Love (or both, ideally) around they should still remain at least a playoff team.
