5. It’s Still Early

Everyone relax. Take a deep breath. We are just seven games into the season with 75 to go. Luckily for the Wizards, the Eastern Conference isn’t as demanding as the Western Conference in terms of playoff positions. Of course, you don’t want to see your team get off to a sluggish start, but now they know what they need to work on in order to patch the holes now instead of going through a mid-season slump as they did last year.

Four of their next 10 games are against playoff teams from last season. They’ll start their road to recovery tomorrow as they face the Orlando Magic followed by Milwaukee Tuesday, two teams they’ve already beaten this season. If they can manage to go 7-3 throughout the next 10 games it would have them sitting with a 10-7 record and on the way back to the top of the Eastern Conference. It will be a tough task, but this Wizards team has battled through adversity before. This time around won’t be any different.
