Milwaukee Bucks: 3 Reasons For Recent Success

Giannis Has Turned Into A Star
He cannot even legally purchase alcohol, but Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has transformed from a versatile role player to a great player in the NBA. His natural defensive abilities , which stem from his 6-foot-11 frame and 7-foot-3 wingspan, make him one of the best wing defenders in the league.
He showed how valuable his long arms are when he swatted Derrick Williams‘ three-point attempt into the stands.
However, so far this season his biggest growth has been his jump shot to become a lethal offensive weapon. Especially with Jabari Parker’s minutes monitored tightly, Antetokounmpo has needed to provide offense for the Bucks. In 2015-16, he is averaging 19.3 points per game and is shooting 57.3 percent from the field. He has even made 5-of-11 three-point attempts.
And while his jump shot is vastly improved, he is still a menace when he drives to the hoop. According to Basketball-Reference, Antetokounmpo is shooting 61.5 percent on shots 10 feet or fewer away from the rim. His shot chart shows the bulk of his shots comes from inside the restricted area, his most successful spot.
