So you’re the biggest basketball fan in the world and no other fan is as passionate, loyal and dedicated as you are? Prove it and be featured on Sports Illustrated and FanSided.

Every year, Sports Illustrated (our Time Inc. partner) awards the Sportsman of the Year. FanSided has joined the festivities and will award the FanSided Fan of the Year to the sports fan who proves themselves to be the most dedicated, passionate and creative fan of their team.

Were you there for your team’s inaugural season and have held season tickets ever since? Did you name your children after the team you love? Perhaps you have a tattoo detailing the history of your team?

Those are the types of people who could win the FanSided Fan of the Year. Through thick and thin, you’ve stuck with your squad and we want to hear about your journey.

Do you know somebody who would qualify? Nominate them! We all know that fan who lives and dies with their team and would relish the opportunity to be recognized for it.

Here’s how to enter: Send us a two-minute video or a 200-word essay to FanOfTheYear@FanSided.com telling us your story and explaining why you should be named FanSided Fan of the Year. We’ll review all submissions and narrow down the field to five finalists. Each finalist will receive a one-year subscription to Sports Illustrated and will be interviewed and profiled on FanSided.com. The grand prize winner will be featured in Sports Illustrated magazine!
