19. Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans

Position: Power Forward

Age: 22

2015-16 Slash Line: .378/.429/.632

2015-16 Season Averages: 37.5 MPG, 21.5 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 1.0 APG, 2.5 BPG, 1.0 SPG, 1.5 3PM

The New Orleans Pelicans didn’t have the easiest time during the season opener. Matched up against the defending champion Golden State Warriors, the Pelicans were overwhelmed.

So long as Anthony Davis is healthy and active, however, New Orleans will be just fine.

Davis shot just 4-of-20 from the field with five turnovers against the Warriors, which is as ugly as it seems. He bounced back with 25 points and 10 rebounds on 10-of-17 shooting from the field against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Unfortunately, both games were losses.

The good news for the Pelicans is that Davis continues to expand his game. The bad news for the rest of the NBA is that he sank three 3-point field goals on five attempts against the Trail Blazers.

If the All-NBA power forward can thrive as a 3-point shooter, the Association will be in serious trouble.
