The Washington Wizards have an All-Star point guard in John Wall. They also have a shooting guard, Bradley Beal, who has emerged as one of the NBA’s most feared postseason scorers.

Producing in the regular season hasn’t been as easy for Beal.

Fortunately for the Wizards, Beal came to play in the season opener. He posted a healthy 24 points as Washington held on for an 88-87 road victory over the Orlando Magic.

That’s exactly what the Wizards expect Beal to do in 2015-16.

Wall is an elite facilitator and defensive playmaker, and he’s certainly capable of scoring in volume. In order for the Wizards to live up to their potential, however, Beal must provide an efficient and consistent effort on a nightly basis.

This was an excellent start.
