2. The Eye of a Rose

Contrary to LeBron is Derrick Rose. It seems like it is the same story, different season when it comes to talking about him suffering some type of injury. This time around: an orbital bone fracture. It happened during training camp when he was inadvertently elbowed by a teammate.

Though he has been cleared, Rose is still complaining problems with his vision. Nick Freidell of ESPN reports:

"“A little bit when I look certain places,” Rose said after Monday’s practice. “But if I concentrate a little bit harder or focus on it a little bit harder, I can see one thing.”"

Rose’s injury isn’t the only reason he finds himself in the headlines of opening night. Throughout the past couple of weeks, it has been rumored that he and Jimmy Butler have been “feuding” about who the offense should be ran around. Rose denies the rumors, but it still makes for an interesting situation to watch unfold.

The Bulls signed Butler to a max-deal this summer with hopes that he will be the franchise player of the future. All signs point to Butler stepping into the spotlight and taking control of the team, but Rose has the ball in his hands the majority of the time being the point guard, so it will be interesting if he abides by hid duties if Butler is the focal point.
