Orlando Magic Starting Five Breakdown: Tobias Harris
By Luke Duffy
Verdict
Really it depends on the mentality Harris brings with him to start the season. If he thinks that, because he got paid and is clearly a valued member of this team and doesn’t push on, he may even finish the season coming off the bench. A big call considering how much money he’s now making, but one you feel Scott Skiles would have no problem making.
By the way he talks, you feel this won’t be what Harris does, rather he’ll go on once again to have a career year.
Will it be enough to lift this team to the playoffs? Individually no, but again if he can develop a more consistent three point shot and venture into the paint more to score some points, this team could create matchup nightmares for plenty of opponents, especially in the weaker Eastern Conference.
He will make some noise in the Most Improved Player voting, and he’ll become a more vocal leader for this young team. Really you couldn’t ask for much else.
