Conclusion

Ryan Hollins is the best bet to win the last spot on the Grizzlies’ roster. His size poses problems, as well as his ability to periodically pop out for jumpers. Green’s energy level and instant scoring ability are laudable, but the Grizzlies would be wiser utilizing perimeter shooters like Jordan Adams for youthful instant scoring.

Also, the Grizzlies would be hard-pressed to turn away a seasoned veteran with recent experience who shows up in their camp. Hollins can become a solid substitution during the stretch run when Marc Gasol needs a rest, especially if Brandan Wright isn’t healthy. Hollins’ solid frame and discipline suggest he could fit well in the “grit ‘n’ grind” defense.
