9. One Last Vintage Performance

This may not seem like much, since J-Rich’s last vintage performance came in a meaningless season for the Philadelphia 76ers, but for a player who will have to walk away from the game because of knee problems, this one last hurrah has a greater significance than it did a few months ago.

True enough, Richardson only suited up in 19 games for the Sixers in 2014-15, his last season in the NBA. But in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder in early March, he gave fans one last taste of everything he brings to the table.

The Sixers lost the game by five, but it was an impressive showing against a much better team that needed wins to keep its playoff hopes alive. J-Rich finished with 29 points (8-of-19 shooting), six rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes. He made four of his nine three-point attempts and was a perfect 9-for-9 from the foul line.

Hardly anyone knew the significance of that performance at the time, but we can now acknowledge it as J-Rich’s final curtain call.
