The Indiana Pacers have been in existence since 1967 when they competed in the American Basketball Association. Once the ABA-NBA merger took place, they were officially an NBA team in 1976. All three of the organization’s championships occurred during their time in the ABA.

Since their time in the NBA, they have one Finals appearance where they were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers in six games. The Pacers have been a very successful organization throughout their existence. Although they haven’t won an NBA title, they’ve been common company to the NBA playoffs, making it every season but six since 1990.

There were a number of stars during the 90’s that went without a Finals appearance or, for the teams in the Western Conference, a Finals victory due to a player that had the name Michael Jordan. One of those players were included on this all-time lineup, and is also considered one of the best at his position play the game.

An interesting note on this lineup is that the majority all played together at the same time and was still not able to win an NBA title. That isn’t downplaying their overall abilities, but rather proving just how competitive the NBA as a whole was at that particular time.

Let’s take a look at who made the Indiana Pacers’ all-time starting five.
