9. Chris Mullin

Chris Mullin was one-third of the iconic Run TMC. It wasn’t until after those years, however, that Mullin realized just how much of a tool the 3-point shot could be for his expanding game.

Once he mastered the art of the deep jumper, Mullin never looked back.

Mullin shot above 40 percent from 3-point range in six seasons from 1992-93 to 1999-2000. He transformed himself from a scorer who could shoot into a genuine lights-out, lethal marksman.

From anywhere on the court, Mullin was a feared threat to score.

Mullin’s percentages and volume may not be on par with other 3-point shooters on this list, but that’s not the only barometer. The time he played in didn’t value the 3-point shot as much as the modern era does, which is vital to state when discussing his almost incomparable jump shot.

Whether it was a mid-range jumper or something deeper, Mullin was expected to make it more than he was to miss it.
