18. Dell Curry

His son receives all of the praise, but Dell Curry is one of the most notorious shooters in NBA history. He carved out a 16-year career on the strength of his unfathomably consistent shooting stroke.

He didn’t shoot the outside shot very often during his first five seasons, but that changed very quickly.

Curry shot above 40 percent from 3-point range in nine different seasons and above 85 percent from the free throw line seven times. He made 150-plus 3-point field goals three times, which should be adjusted to the era and not taken at face value.

From mid-range and beyond, Curry was lights out.

The true appeal here is how masterful his shot was. It was almost impossible to adequately defend Curry, as he could go up into perfect shooting form in just about any setting.

Consistently scoring in double-figures, Curry utilized his all-time shooting touch to become one of the more memorable role players of the 1990s.
