Predictions

DeMarcus Cousins and George Karl continue this awkward and uncomfortable silence until the team starts losing games, and that’s when the whole feud blows up. Cousins puts up terrific numbers on the court, but the Kings continue to have the same level of success they’ve had over the last few seasons.

Rondo puts up decent individual numbers, but continues to look a step slow out there. He winds up staying in Sacramento past this season, but only because he was unable to turn his make-or-break season into a more lucrative free agency deal elsewhere.

Willie Cauley-Stein shows flashes of his defensive potential, but is unable to truly thrive in his rookie season alongside Boogie and Kosta Koufos, especially on the offensive end. Ben McLemore has another promising year from the perimeter, but it’s overshadowed by the minutes he’s splitting with Marco Belinelli.

The Kings win 35 games and fall well short of the postseason. Boogie begins to grow truly frustrated with the organization that’s wasting away his prime, but remains loyal to the good fans of Sacramento when the front office eventually realizes it needs to fire George Karl.
