Best-Case Scenario

The Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks take a step backward, the Chicago Bulls struggle to stay healthy and the Bucks sneak their way into a top-4 seed in the East. Greg Monroe makes Milwaukee’s offense click and Kidd is able to utilize lengthy twig-men like Giannis and Henson to flank Monroe with shot-blocking around the basket.

The Greek Freak has a breakout year, Middleton spreads the floor in his own breakout season and though MCW fails to spread the floor as a jump-shooter, he does enough in the other areas of his game to make up for it. Jabari Parker returns as one of the team’s leading scorers and though Milwaukee’s defense takes a slight step backward, the Bucks remain in the top 10 and make it all the way to the second round before bowing out to a superior, more experienced contender.

Worst-Case Scenario

The rest of their Eastern Conference brethren remain level or improve as the Bucks struggle to adjust to Monroe’s presence in Milwaukee. Though Monroe posts solid individual numbers, Milwaukee’s once elite defense falls apart and the fit that was once so good on paper starts to look bad.

Antetokounmpo looks like he’s still a few years away, Middleton fails to build on his success from last season and Parker struggles to return from his knee injury. MCW is left to do too much like he was forced to do in Philly, hurting his efficiency. Amid all the chemistry issues and lack of veteran leadership, the Bucks fail to make the playoffs.
