Final Thoughts:

I may be alone in this, though I don’t think I am, but I feel that this is a team that can make the Final Four. They’re dynamic, have great shooting and two seniors who have been through the grind and can get these younger players to play together for the common goal, much in the same way Quinn Cook was able to rally Duke last season by stepping away from the point guard position.

Of course, Villanova doesn’t have two lottery picks and a third first round draft pick to work with. They may have one, but this team resembles more of a Connecticut or Louisville title team rather than a Duke or Kentucky. Different styles of teams win national titles in different years. It all depends on the landscape and the landscape looks pretty good for a Nova takeover this year.

Predictions:

* Third straight Big East Championship

* Jay Wright discussed for Coach of the Year

* Two first-team All-Big East players; one All-America honorable mention

* A 2-seed in the NCAA tournament
