The Phoenix Suns were the darlings of the NBA in 2013-14 when they burst out of nowhere to the verge of the playoffs in the rugged Western Conference.

It looked like the Suns were going to get over the hump in 2014-15 before a 10-18 post All-Star break record—culminating in a 1-6 April—sank them from contention.

And after moving half of the Morrii combination, Marcus Morris, to the Detroit Pistons in an effort to free up cap space for what turned out to be a near-miss run at free agent LaMarcus Aldridge, the remaining twin—Markieff Morris—wants nothing more than to see Phoenix in his rear-view mirror … like, now.

The pieces shuffled a lot last season, with Phoenix moving on from Goran Dragic and bringing in Brandon Knight at the trade deadline and the Suns did land center Tyson Chandler as a pretty nice consolation prize in free agency.

But does Phoenix have the horses to make a run at the playoffs and actually get there in 2015-16? That is a question that may again take 82 games to fully answer.
