4. Vanderbilt at Texas

Vanderbilt has a lot of promising young players that should have better campaigns in 2016.

Two of them, in particular, are Damian Jones and Riley LaChance. This summer they each were invited to premier basketball camps. Jones got invited to the Nike Basketball Academy and LaChance had an opportunity to make the USA Basketball U19 roster. In addition, Wade Baldwin IV made the All-SEC Freshman Team and he finished the year leading all freshman in assists.

The big three that Vanderbilt boasts will go against a Texas team that looks ready to make the NCAA Tournament once again.

Last year Vanderbilt didn’t make the NCAA tournament because of faulty and inconsistent play. However, the growth of Vanderbilt’s trio should get them in fighting contention to another NCAA Tournament appearance in their program history. A road win against Texas could be a signature win before the end of the season.
