It’s no secret that the demand for free agent Carlos Boozer is at an all-time low right now. It was only a few years ago he was putting 16 points and nine rebounds on a nightly basis as the Chicago Bulls’ starting power forward.

Now, nobody even wants to make him an offer, leaving Boozer to consider playing in China. Though he’d prefer to remain in the NBA and join a contender midseason — much like Ray Allen said last year — that approach will require a more patient touch. Still, the overwhelming takeaway is that Boozer’s value has declined rapidly and severely.

However, that’s not to say that Boozer has nothing to offer still. His non-existent defense is a major problem, but as a veteran locker room presence who can get buckets off the bench, Boozer could have plenty of value in limited minutes for a playoff team. Boozer is to NBA teams as Kanye West is to the MTV Video Music Awards; we all know it might be a bad idea for these two to continue co-existing, but DAMN IT IF IT’S NOT ENTERTAINING AS HELL.

The question is, which teams would be interested? It’s far too early to say for certain, especially since an injury here or a trade there could dramatically change this conversation. But since Carlos Boozer is probably the best remaining free agent, it’s worth taking a look at five potential teams that would A) be a good fit and B) potentially be interested in his services.
