6. Shabazz Muhammad — UCLA

After winning every high school hoop award the state of Nevada had to offer, Shabazz Muhammad committed to the UCLA Bruins as Rivals’ top recruit in 2012.

The 6-foot-6 swingman was seen as the guy who could lead UCLA back to the Final Four after a couple down seasons in the post-Love/Westbrook/Collison era.

Similar to Selby, Muhammad found himself in trouble with the NCAA before his college career even got going, as he was suspended three games for receiving improper benefits during two recruiting visits to Duke and North Carolina. Even still, Muhammad averaged 17.9 points per game in 32 appearances for the Bruins, while making the Freshman All-American Team and the All-Pac-12 First Team.

Muhammad spent just one season at Westwood, as he was selected 14th overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2013 NBA Draft, then was later traded to Minnesota.
