But, after the Cowboys made a John Lucas-led run to San Antonio for the Final Four in 2004, Eddie Sutton and the Pokes appeared to be on their way towards the school’s seventh Final Four appearance with Green’s commitment.

Unfortunately for OSU, Green jumped for the high school game to the pro game and entered the 2005 NBA Draft. Green was selected 18th overall by the Boston Celtics, while OSU made the Sweet 16 as a 2-seed in the 2005 NCAA Tournament.
