Top Performance By A Veteran: Aaron Gordon (Orlando Magic)

Gordon’s performance was largely overshadowed after playing in the less-hyped Orlando Summer League, but the Orlando Magic‘s sophomore was simply brilliant in his second summer stint.

In three games at the Amway Center, Gordon averaged an outstanding 21.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.6 steals. His insane athleticism was on full display throughout the week as he threw down monster dunks and went up high to block shots and grab boards.

Perhaps more impressive, Gordon showed a pretty outside jumper while shooting 50 percent from both 3-point land and the field. He hit two 3-pointers per game, and if he can keep up his improved outside shooting, his ability to space the floor will pay big dividends for a Magic team that needs floor spacing.

Gordon is definitely closer to a bigger role with the Magic, and while he may not start on their talented young roster, head coach Scott Skiles will undoubtedly be looking for ways to get the former No. 4 pick involved.

It’s safe to say that Magic fans should be giddy for their young team.
