Boston Celtics: David Lee Has Been Traded To C’s, Per Reports
The Boston Celtics have traded Gerald Wallace to the Golden State Warriors for David Lee, according to multiple reports.
The Celtics took on another big contract after getting rid of Wallace’s expensive contract, but one thing is for sure; Lee will definitely see the floor more than Wallace did last season. Lee is a gifted scorer in the paint, and he had some big minutes for the Warriors in their championship run, which is why he will be able to help the Celtics right away.

Lee has proven that he can do many different things on the offensive end in his career, but defense is were he really struggles. The Celtics did reach an agreement with Amir Johnson earlier last week, who will help out defensively for the Celtics at the power forward position.
Johnson will add the defense and Lee will add the offense at the power forward position, which is not a bad combo.

The Celtics now have an extremely crowded backcourt and frontcourt. Lee, Johnson, Tyler Zeller, Kelly Olynyk, Jared Sullinger, and rookie Jordan Mickey, who has been impressive so far in summer league, will make up the frontcourt.
The Celtics will have to work with different lineups to see what the best fit is for the team once the season starts, or maybe a forward will be on the move, since the Celtics do need to add some much needed wing depth and shooting. Since Danny Ainge is still the GM, trades are never out of the question, no matter who it is.
For now, the Celtics have an above-average frontcourt, and with the addition of David Lee the team will have some offensive firepower in the post. On another note, guard Isaiah Thomas seems to be OK with the trade, which is never a bad thing.
Thomas was swinging for the fences earlier in free agency with tweets about DeMarcus Cousins, Kevin Love, and LaMarcus Aldridge, and if the report about Lee is true, then he will have to do for now.
