This is a tough one. Stephen Curry is the reigning NBA MVP and an NBA champion whose court vision is borderline elite and shooting prowess may be No. 1 on the unquantifiable all-time scale.
One simply can’t help but wonder how Curry would’ve fared in any season before the 3-point shot was introduced in 1979.
Curry could’ve made some money as a floor general, and his size at 6’3″ would’ve been ideal for a point guard. He’s also an excellent ball-handler whose touch is not limited to shooting 3s.
A solid but not spectacular mid-range shooter, and an efficient but not extraordinary finisher at the rim, Curry could’ve run into some trouble.
Curry ends up making this list based off of the strength of his 2014-15 season. He’s a leader of men and a champion, and the latter cannot be erased from history.
Curry wouldn’t be quite as prolific without the 3-point shot, but great players find a way to make it work.
