The Seminoles beat out the likes of powerhouses Kentucky, Louisville and Wisconsin, among a heft handful of other teams in pursuit of Isaac’s services.
At 6’10”, Isaac ranks as the nation’s No. 4 overall small forward and the No. 2 overall recruit out of Florida. After a well-below mediocre season last year in which the Seminoles finished 17-16 and missed the NCAA Tournament, head coach Leonard Hamilton and his staff have been extremely active on the recruiting front for the upcoming season and have now added the prized possession of their 2016 class in Isaac.
In addition to landing Isaac, Florida State has commitments from 4-star point guard C.J. Walker and 4-star shooting guard Trent Forrest, giving the Seminoles the Nation’s No. 2 ranked recruiting class in 2016, per 247Sports composite rankings.
After being a bit underrated only months ago, Isaac has began climbing up the recruiting ladder and has now solidified himself as one of the very best small forwards in the country, along with being one of the most coveted talents in general; noticeable by his lengthy list of offers from around the country.
Isaac’s commitment now gives Florida State back-to-back seasons in which they landed a 5-star talent, led by Dwayne Bacon who committed for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
