NBA: Top 25 Free Agents
13. Draymond Green, RFA
UPDATE: Draymond Green has agreed to a five-year, $85 million contract with the Golden State Warriors.
2014-15 was the culmination of a vision for the Golden State Warriors. A commitment to elite defense triumphed over all else, and a major reason for that was the contributions of Draymond Green.
Now a restricted free agent, there’s a growing expectation that some team will attempt to max Green out.
Green was named to the All-Defensive First Team in 2014-15, and with good reason. He outmuscled post players, contested perimeter jump shots and locked players down with varying roles in every instance.
The only real question here is how much the Warriors are willing to pay in order to keep Green on the roster.
