18. Tyson Chandler, UFA

UPDATE: Tyson Chandler has agreed to a five-year, $52 million contract with the Phoenix Suns.

Tyson Chandler is a former NBA champion, Defensive Player of the Year and All-Star. That’s a career that most players could only dream of, and it’s why he’s held in such high regard.

Whether or not the Dallas Mavericks let him walk—again—Chandler’s status as a defensive anchor is secure.

Facing questions about his age and declining athleticism, Chandler pulled down 11.5 rebounds per game in 2014-15—No. 5 in the NBA. His 18.1 rebounds per 48 minutes ranked No. 3 behind just Andre Drummond and DeAndre Jordan.

If nothing else, Chandler can still dominate the glass and provide a big, bruising body to set the tone defensively.
