The Atlanta Hawks historic season on 2014-2015 sadly ended with a whimper and not a bang.The sweep at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals left everyone a bit depressed. The good news is that the Hawks offseason gives them a chance to reload and try again in the upcoming season.

The Hawks draft decisions ultimately led to the acquisition of Tim Hardaway Jr. This move was controversial but won’t maim Atlanta’s ability to improve. Without a superstar, Atlanta needs to make sure it has the most well-rounded team possible in order to contend in a star-powered league.

With free agency looming, the Hawks will need to retain some of their own personnel while finding new players on the market. A few months rest from the barrage of injuries the franchise suffered will also be positive. Their list of needs isn’t exhaustively long (they did win 60 games, after all) but Atlanta like any other team will need to accomplish the following objectives to be the best they can be
