Coming off their first championship in 40 years, the Golden State Warriors just affirmed their status as one of the NBA’s all-time great teams and a possible dynasty-in-the-making. Other than the imperative re-signing of Draymond Green this summer, this young, deep and talented team doesn’t really have too many needs at the moment.

But with the 2015 NBA Draft underway this evening, it never hurts to add young, cheap talent to the roster to help the Dubs strengthen their core for the long-term.

Before we start looking ahead to prospects who might be available by the time the Warriors are on the clock at No. 30, one small caveat: Golden State’s attempts to trade David Lee could very well throw a wrench into their draft plans.

With Lee set to cost the Warriors nearly $50 million in salary and luxury tax payments, the Dubs want to trade him this summer. Lee also wants to play actual NBA minutes again, so a trade would benefit both sides. But in order to get teams to take on the last year of Lee’s massive contract, the Dubs may have to throw in a draft pick or two to sweeten the deal.

This year’s No. 30 pick would obviously be included in that discussion, which makes it hard to predict what will happen — especially with contradictory reports emerging that the Dubs may be trying to trade UP in the draft.

But in the event the Warriors aren’t involved in any draft-day trades and take the less spicy path, here’s a look at five prospects that Golden State should consider taking at No. 30.
