Con: Not Winning For A While

Unless the Lakers revamp their team in the offseason (which they have the ability to do) and trade the No. 2 pick for DeMarcus Cousins and other players, then they most likely are going to pick in the lottery once again.

Lakers fans, you can kill the pipe dream of putting together a championship team in year one of the Towns era, because you’re not going to the playoffs.

With any young team there will be growing pains and this won’t be any different. If Towns, a player who’s been used to winning most of his life, can adjust to not being competitive at first, then it makes the transition easier.

But then again, who wants a player that will get used to losing? We all got to see firsthand how Anthony Davis got tired of losing and took the New Orleans Pelicans to the playoffs. Maybe Towns can recreate the same type of hunger.
