2. Make Some Triples

It sounds crazy to say this after watching the Warriors go on runs driven by backbreaking three-pointers, but the numbers don’t like: The Dubs really haven’t shot the ball well from downtown in this series.

In Game 1, Golden State made 10 of their 29 attempts from beyond the arc (34.5 percent). In Game 2, they were even worse, going 8-for-24 from three-point range (33.3 percent). For a team that drilled a league-best 39.8 percent from three-point range during the regular season, the Warriors could be due for a hot shooting night. Non-Stephen Curry Warriors, that is.

After all, one MVP-caliber Warrior has been shooting the lights out from deep. In Game 1, Curry was an unconscious 6-for-11 from deep. In Game 2, he wasn’t far behind at 5-for-11. So far, Curry has made 11 of his team’s 18 three-pointers in this series.

That’s impressive from the MVP’s standpoint, but the rest of the Warriors could really step up. Warriors who aren’t named Steph Curry have shot 7-for-31 from downtown in this series (22.6 percent). It’d be nice for guys like Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and Harrison Barnes to start knocking down open looks…oh, and our next guy too.
