Luc Richard Mbah a Moute

How: Veteran’s Minimum ($1,270,964)

Position: Forward

Age: 28

Experience: 7 Seasons

Slash Line: .395/.307/.589

Season Averages: 28.6 MPG, 9.9 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 1.6 APG, 1.2 SPG, 0.9 3PM

He may not receive much attention, but Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is one of the more versatile defenders in the NBA. He can spend time at power forward or work the perimeter and limit scoring opportunities.

Standing at 6’8″ with a 7’1″ wingspan, Mbah a Moute has the length and defensive prowess Los Angeles needs at the 3.

It could be tough for Los Angeles to get Mbah a Moute to take the veteran’s minimum. What it has on its side is the fact that he played for the UCLA Bruins in college.

A return to Southern California could be intriguing enough to get him to sign.

Mbah a Moute’s limited offensive game is something of a concern, but his defense is what matters here. He can help Los Angeles against long scorers who prefer to attack off the bounce and low-post scorers who work with their back to the basket.

As an unrestricted free agent, this comes down to whether or not Doc Rivers pulls the trigger.
