Paul Pierce

Although Paul Pierce hit a huge shot that looked like it sealed the win for the Wizards in Game 5, they ended up losing due to a put-back effort on the other end of the floor from Al Horford. Although Pierce was a key component of Game 5, he only scored 11 points. We’ve seen him and gotten used to him scoring closer to 15 this year in the playoffs.

In Game 3 he hit a huge game-winner from the elbow, exclaiming to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, “I called game.”

It’s no secret that Pierce is a huge part of the Wizards’ wins.

It’s going to be important for Pierce to score and shoot accurately. I would also like to see Pierce get more active on the defensive side of the floor, as he’s only had one game with a block in the entire Hawks series.
