Washington Wizards: 5 Crucial Players To Force Game 7
By Josh Wilson
As the Washington Wizards fell in the series against the Atlanta Hawks 3-2, they have a lot to think about. A lot must be improved from the previous game, and they need to make sure they’re able to close out Game 6 if it comes down to the wire. After all, if they’re unable to do so, their season will come to an end.
The theme of Game 5 was all about players showing up. John Wall obviously showed up big time as he came off of his hand injury, but the delicacy of his hand rendered him to be a bit more careful, and he wasn’t as productive as he could be sometimes. He only scored 15 points.
In fact, only a single Wizard was into the 20s, an alarming stat. Although the Hawks only had a single player in the 20s as well, it’s still something that the Wizards want to change. The low scoring individually for each team led to a very low scoring game overall.
So, who are the players that have to show up? There are five key players for Washington. If these players are able to come in and do their best while playing great basketball both individually and as a team, the Wizards have a great shot at forcing a Game 7.
