1. There’s Still Work To Do

That being said, this series isn’t over, even with momentum on Golden State’s side. Joerger will be prepared to make adjustments after Kerr took Allen out of the game, and one hot shooting night from Allen, Conley or even Courtney Lee from the perimeter could change this conversation.

The Grizzlies have already proven that they can win at Oracle Arena and even after the Dubs found their stroke from downtown in Game 4, all it takes is one off shooting night to make this a series again.

Last night felt like a turning point, but that doesn’t mean the Dubs are going to run away with this thing. I originally predicted the Dubs winning in five games, and the Grizzlies have defied all expectations so far. The Warriors need to take care of business at home (as they usually do) and try to close things out in six so they’re not pushed to a Game 7.

Because, as I’m sure most Golden State Warriors fans have noticed by now, their Western Conference Finals opponent could very well be their biggest rival in the Los Angeles Clippers. If Lob City finishes off the Houston Rockets in five games (or even six), the Dubs will want to have conserved as much energy as possible for another brutally physical and mentally draining series.

The Warriors shouldn’t be looking any further ahead than Game 5 at Oracle, but it’s time to take the momentum from last night’s season-saving victory and run with it.
