2. Chris Paul Is Okay

Blake Griffin is this team’s best player right now, but the Clippers aren’t going anywhere without everyone healthy. At the top of the list following his pulled hammy is Chris Paul, who has thankfully been rescued from the spiteful clutches of the basketball gods for the time being.

CP3 missed the first two games of the series, but he appears to be good to go now. He’s played in the last two games, averaging a reassuring 13.5 points, 9.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. He’s shot 50 percent from downtown and in the two games he’s been back, the Clippers have blown out Houston by 25 and 33 points.

With one more win, Chris Paul will reach his first ever conference finals, finally burying the “He’s never been to a conference finals!” narrative in the ground. With CP3 on a mission like this, it’s hard to bet against the Clippers, especially since they’ve been the most impressive team in the playoffs thus far.

CP3 will need to be fully healthy for Lob City to make its title aspirations a reality, but if the Clips can close out Houston in Game 5, they’ll get more time to rest as their competition continues to battle it out in potentially lengthier series.
