We laughed.

We cried.

It was better than … last season.

The 2014-15 Milwaukee Bucks weren’t what we expected, but how could anyone really have known?

More from Milwaukee Bucks

Fans entered the season with an entire year of Larry Drew as their benchmark for what a head coach is. How could anyone expect the team’s defense to go from league-worst to fourth-best just a year later. How could anyone know that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton would blossom under the direction of a new coach?

How could anyone know that Brandon Knight, the team’s lone bright spot from last year, would be shipped off to Phoenix? And how could anyone know that they would make the playoffs?

We may not have known how they would change, but we should have known that they would be much different than Larry Drew’s Bucks. The team had a dramatically different makeup heading into the season.

The last week of June 2014 was franchise-altering for Milwaukee. The winds of change began on June 26 when the team used their No. 2 overall pick on Duke forward Jabari Parker. Then, before debate over the pick even had a chance to die down, the team was rumored to be pursuing then current Brooklyn Nets head coach, Jason Kidd.

By July 1, Kidd was at the helm of the Bucks and Larry Drew was left wondering what happened. A couple of Jared/Jerryd’s acquired later and the framework for the season was set.

Starting from that point in the timeline, here’s the five best moments to remember the 2014-15 Milwaukee Bucks by.
