Come out firing.

With the Hawks, you have to score points. Getting ahead early is the best way to do this, because if you don’t the Hawks will leave you in the dust. They showed this in the series finale against the Nets, beating them 111-87.

The Hawks distribute points very well. This is because they play a very even offense that gets everyone involved. In the regular season, no one on their team averaged more than 20 points, yet they still had the best record in the East. I find this to be phenomenal that they were able to be this well balanced.

Balance is something the Wizards need, and will have to match going into playing against the Hawks. They need to space their scoring out, and may even have to settle for some jumpers that they don’t necessarily like.

Spreading out their shot selection can help this, or simply making sure plenty of hands touch the ball before a shot goes up. Whatever works to make sure there is a balanced game, I’m open to watching.

Everyone has to get involved and make an effort to be the one who will get the points to beat the Hawks.
